David Raya Praises Team's Strength as Vital to Multiple Trophy Pursuit

The Spanish shot-stopper has emphasized that fierce rivalry for starting positions is driving Arsenal's exceptional performance, with the goalkeeper asserting that the team's roster under Mikel Arteta is so incredible that they can contend for various titles this season.

Stunning Wins Highlight Arsenal's Strength

Arsenal's latest 4-0 triumph over Atlético Madrid marked their six consecutive wins and 10th success in 12 matches. Having let in just three goals—a record low at this point in the club's history—Arsenal have established a one-point lead at the top of the table and a flawless start in the Champions League after three outings.

Rotation and Versatility Key to Success

The goalkeeper has started in nearly every game, except for one Carabao Cup fixture, but the manager has consistently rotated the lineup following heavy spending on new signings. When asked about chasing several pieces of silverware, Raya said, "Absolutely, I think so. The depth is amazing. There are many players who can perform in multiple positions."

For instance, against Atlético, a teammate came on as a forward and can also play as a No 8 or attacking midfielder. Such flexibility is what the boss has, and he's using it to our advantage. Things appear very, very good, and that depth is very important for us.

Competition Elevates Standards

The Spain international continued, "This situation gives you an extra level in training and matches because if you slack off, your place is at risk in a fraction of a second. That fosters healthy competitiveness in training and on the pitch, which is vitally significant, and everyone is on board."

Defensive Solidity a Team Achievement

Arsenal have let in just a single goal from open play so far, and Raya has faced only one shot on target in their recent victories against Atlético, Fulham, and West Ham.

"Everyone contributes from the forwards to the goalkeeper," he said. "Everyone is focused, determined not to give anything away, and we aim to intercept the ball prior to it crossing the midfield. If we intercept, it allows a quick counter. It's crucial for everyone to feel this mentality, and opponents aren't creating many chances, which is ideal."
